Atlas Copco has unveiled the QAS 150 portable generator, which is designed to work in extreme weather conditions.
Enclosed in a steel canopy and skid-mounted on spillage-free frame, the QAS 150 generator features a 6-cylinder John Deere Tier 4A diesel engine with 169 horsepower at 1800 revolutions per minute.
The generator offers 125 kW (kilowatts) / 155 kVA (kilovolt amperes) of rated standby power and 112 kW / 140 kVA of rated prime power.
With a 223-gallon capacity fuel tank, the generator’s fuel consumption at 75 per cent load is 7 gallons hour.
The unit has a comprehensive instrument panel that allows all key operating functions to be viewed without opening the control panel door.
The skid-mounted version measures 133 inches long by 76 inches high by 47 inches wide and the trailer style measures 191 inches long by 92 inches high by 84 inches wide.
The QAS 150 generator is engineered for 500-hour service intervals and has been manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001 quality assurance regulations.
