NCA Site Supervisor Registration, Accreditation

The National Construction Authority, a government body that regulates the construction industry, offers registration and accreditation of contractors, site workers and supervisors.

Registration of construction workers helps to ensure that all individuals undertaking various trades are qualified fostering high professional standards and accountability in a bid to protect consumers against poor workmanship.

To obtain NCA site supervisor registration, a person must have technical qualifications and experience in the class or classes of work for which they are seeking accreditation.

Registration is simple and can be done at the NCA offices, Huduma Center or online.

Requirements for NCA site supervisor registration

• Certificate of technical qualification from an accredited training institution.

• A NITA trade test (grade three and above).

• National Identity card or passport.

• Colored passport photo.

Registration can be completed physically or online.

Physical registration:-

• Obtain accreditation form from NCA offices, Huduma Center or download it from the NCA website – www.nca.go.ke.

• Fill the form as instructed.

• Submit duly filled form accompanied by copies of the documents you are required to present.

• Upon submission, the details you have provided are assessed and verified and if approved you are notified via text message.

• Pay accreditation fee of Sh2,000 at NCA offices, Kenya Commercial Bank, Milimani Branch Account No. 1136368019 or via Mpesa Pay Bill No. 522524 and obtain receipt.

• Pick certificate of registration from their office.

Online registration:-

• Visit the NCA website.

• Go the ‘Construction Worker’ tab then click on ‘Accreditation’.

• Click on ‘Accreditation Portal’.

• Click on ‘Register’ and register an account by filling in the required details in each field.

• Log into your account using the national id or passport number and the password used during registration.

• Click on ‘New Application’ tab then click on ‘Accreditation’.

• Submit the information accompanied by the requested documentation (as listed above).

• After your details are checked and approved, an invoice is sent to the email address you provided during registration indicating the amount to be paid as well as the mode of payment.

• Payment can be made through Mpesa Pay Bill No. 522524 – Account No. 1136368019, Kenya Commercial Bank, Milimani Branch Account No. 1136368019.

• To submit payment, you will go back to your account and key in the Mpesa code or bank slip transaction number in the ‘Click hereto Enter the Bank Slip Transaction No./Mpesa Code’.

• You will receive payment notification sent via SMS on the phone number you provided during registration.

• Subsequently your certificate of registration is processed and can be picked at their office.

Accreditation is valid for three years after which it may be renewed for a similar period.
