Volvo Construction Equipment has unveiled two new mid-sized wheel loaders, the Volvo L50F and L45F.
The Sweden-based manufacturer started the initial rollout last month, concentrating initially on the European markets with the plan to expand internationally throughout 2009.
Fitting into the mid-sized class of machines, both wheel loaders are made for performance, with features that include the patented Torque Parallel (TP) loader linkage, separate working hydraulic pumps for maximum power, 100 per cent axle differential locks, the famed Volvo Care Cab and long service intervals, according to Bill Law, a spokesman for Volvo Construction Equipment.
“The TP linkage gives both the Volvo L45F and L50F smooth, parallel lift, high tilt-back torque and good lifting power – right through the lift range. A key element to any wheel loader is visibility, and the L45F and L50F’s linkage provides class-leading pallet visibility, along with a clear view of attachments.
A wide rollback angle adds to Volvo’s already good reputation for retaining loose bucket material, while the parallel lift action makes it suited for material handling and pallet handling,” he explains.
The Volvo L45F and L50F wheel loaders feature separate power steering and load-sensing hydraulic pumps.
The advantage of this, says the company, is that separate pumps ensure that full steering power is achieved, regardless of the load on the main hydraulic pumps. – Volvo CE
