Mombasa Homes Expo opens

The 8th edition of the bi-annual Mombasa Homes Expo will open doors at the Sarova Whitesands Resort on Friday, 23 November 2012.

The three-day event whose theme is “Re-invent Your World” will focus on the creative and captivating ideas that are being employed in the Kenyan real estate sector to make housing better and more affordable.

The Mombasa Homes Expo is organised twice a year by Unique Homes Magazine with the aim of showcasing variety and providing solutions within the real estate/property development sector in the East African region.

Close to 100 exhibitors will showcase their houses, products and/or services – up from about 30 exhibitors who participated in the Mombasa Homes Expo a year ago.

This, according to Mwenda Thuranira, the director of MySpace Properties Ltd. (the sponsor of the event), is a clear indication of the growing appetite for property investments in the coastal region.

“The fact that more people have shown interest in the event which showcases the potential, opportunities and latest designs in housing means that players in the industry have stepped up their game,” said Mr Thuranira.

During the event, investors will be exploring ways of maximizing their potential by trying to catch up on modern building technology.

Exhibitors include financial institutions, project developers, interior and exterior decorators, construction agencies, furniture makers, marketers and general suppliers among others.

The 8th Mombasa Homes Expo will run till Sunday, November 25, 2012.
