Caterpillar has introduced the 973D tracked loader featuring load-sensing hydraulics, joystick steering, a new operator’s station (with tilting cab) and 10 per cent more power than its 973C predecessor.
According to the company, the new 28 tonne model - like the 973C - is an “all-purpose performer” and retains similar design features, including a hydrostatic drive, Cat C9 engine, single-fabrication mainframe, Z-bar loader linkage and oscillating undercarriage.

Europe’s Hitachi Construction Machinery has launched a new 2.7 tonne mini excavator, the ZX27-3. The new addition, says the company, has been designed with comfort, safety and transportability in mind.

Kawasaki Construction Machinery Corp. of America has rolled out a new loader dubbed 92ZV-2.
According to Kawasaki FOCUS Magazine — Second Quarter, 2009, the new 92ZV-2 6.0-6.6 cu yd wheel loader is just a “stretched out” version of it’s other models. It has more power for excavating and is better suited for uphill tasks than the earlier models.
Kawasaki’s 92ZV-2 has a fuel efficient, certified Tier III emissions engine and is capable of providing 284 FHP and 47 per cent torque rise.

The TL642 is one of four machines in Caterpillar’s TL Series of telehandlers.
The 6,500-pound capacity TL642 features a high-pivot boom that can take 700 pounds to its maximum forward reach of 30 feet.
This is comparatively low, due in part to the Integrated Tool Carrier quick coupler.
This system was designed to interface with a wide range of Caterpillar work tools, many of which can be used on telehandlers, backhoe loaders, and small wheel loaders.
