Kubota has unveiled a major step forward in compact tractor design with the launch of the Grand L70 Series, marking the first complete redesign of its Grand L Line in over ten years.

The six new models are designed to be more comfortable, easier to see from, and packed with better technology, making them great for both regular users and professionals.

“The Grand L70 Series is more than just a new tractor — it’s an innovative leap forward in elevating the operator experience by seamlessly integrating technology,” said Matthew Walker, senior product operations manager for compact and utility tractors at Kubota.

The most immediately noticeable change comes in the new ProCab design. By replacing the six-post cab of the L60 Series with a four-post design, Kubota has added four square feet of glass, giving operators a clearer view.

Rounded glass panels, a new air system, and heated swivel seats with air-ride suspension make the cab more comfortable. Optional features like remote start, heated glass, rear wipers, and defrosters make it even easier to use.

There are three versions, namely Deluxe, Premium and Cold Weather. Both the Deluxe and Premium models offer either the enclosed ProCab or a ROPS (rollover protection structure) for open-air use, while the Cold Weather version is exclusively equipped with the ProCab and designed specifically for snow implements such as blades and blowers.

Under the bonnet, the tractors are powered by Kubota diesel engines ranging from 37 to 60 horsepower, with power take-off ratings between 28 and 53 hp.

Turbocharged engines feature on Premium models, while the Deluxe range uses naturally aspirated options. Customers may choose from three- or four-cylinder engines across both configurations.

Kubota has also introduced its Intelligent Hydrostatic Transmission (iHST) for this series, allowing seamless shifting across six speed settings without stopping.

Operators can toggle between preset drive modes, including “road,” “snow,” “loader,” and “cutter,” while Auto Throttle Advance synchronises engine speed with pedal pressure.

Stall Guard, another new feature, automatically adjusts transmission response to prevent engine stalling under load.

Adding to the versatility, Kubota offers new loader and backhoe attachments. The LA806, LA1056, and LM1056 loaders deliver lift capacities up to 3,029 lbs with breakout forces over 4,000 pound-force, while the BH92A backhoe offers an impressive dig depth of 8 feet 8.6 inches and a reach exceeding 12 feet.

Dealers have already begun taking orders for the Grand L70 Series, with deliveries for early customers expected to commence in February across all regions.
