John Deere Goes All-Electric with New Gator GX Lineup
New lithium Gator GX and GX Crew offer quiet, powerful performance.

John Deere has unveiled two new all-electric utility vehicles, the Gator GX and the four-seater Gator GX Crew, marking a major step toward quieter, cleaner operations for property owners.
The new Gators are designed to move people, tools, and materials around homes, farms, and light-duty worksites – combining practicality with zero-emission performance.
The GX Crew’s rear seats fold down to create a 250-pound-capacity platform, while extra storage between the rows makes space for longer items such as toolboxes or bags.
The two-seater GX features an aluminium dump cargo box with the capacity to carry up to 800 pounds and tow up to 1,500 pounds, thanks to its standard 2-inch receiver hitch.
Each vehicle is powered by a 51.2-volt lithium-ion battery with a 5.376 kWh capacity.
John Deere says the electric motor offers “instant torque, smooth acceleration and uses regenerative braking,” helping extend runtime and making descents safer and more controlled.

Eric Halfman, John Deere’s go-to-market manager, said the new lineup “offers property owners the opportunity to increase productivity around their properties with less noise, less maintenance and more versatility.”
“These utility vehicles are intuitive and durable while offering users the comfort, reliability and convenience they expect from a John Deere Gator,” he added.
Both versions come with high-back, foam-filled seats, a low step height and a standard canopy.
Drivers get easy-to-use pedals, a battery meter, cupholders, USB ports, and hidden storage. You can also add options like a windscreen and a pack with LED lights, indicators, mirrors, and hazard lights.
For fleet managers, the Gators can also be equipped with a JDLink M modem to connect to John Deere’s Operations Center for live monitoring of vehicle data and location.
Built to handle tough ground or indoor environments, the GX models feature knobby tyres, 5.9 inches of ground clearance and a suspension system designed to smooth out rough terrain.
Available in the classic green and yellow or a sleek grey metallic, the electric Gators prove that sustainability doesn’t have to come at the expense of strength or style.
As Halfman summed up: “The Gator GX lineup brings all the capability our customers expect — just without the noise or fumes.”
