JCB Re-Enters ADT Market With 715 Dump Truck Preview
The 715, with a 7.1m³ body and 12,750kg payload, sits in the mid-range of ADTs.

JCB has re-entered the articulated dump truck market with the 715, a 9.3-tonne two-axle hauler for construction and infrastructure work, after a long absence in the segment.
The move brings the manufacturer back into the bulk earthmoving sector, where payload capacity and cycle time directly affect project productivity and fleet utilisation.
The 715 features a 7.1m³ body and a 12,750kg payload, placing it in the mid-range of articulated dump trucks used on large construction and infrastructure sites.
JCB says the machine “takes off-road hauling capabilities to a new level”.
EU emissions regulations
It is powered by a JCB 448 Stage V diesel engine producing 129kW (173hp) and 690Nm of torque at 1,500rpm. The engine is compliant with EU emissions regulations for non-road mobile machinery.
Power is delivered through an eight-speed auto powershift transmission with active torque lock. JCB says the system “eliminates torque converter losses, enabling direct drive for maximum traction on the steepest of slopes”.
The drivetrain is paired with heavy-duty ZF axles with differential lock and gives a maximum travel speed of 40kph.

JCB said the 715 is designed to operate alongside its wheeled and crawler excavators, positioning it within its wider earthmoving equipment portfolio.
The cab uses the CommandPlus system with a central driving position and ROPS/FOPS protection. It includes LED lighting, wide-angle mirrors and a rear-view camera as standard.
JCB LiveLink telematics
A 7-inch UX touchscreen provides machine data and allows operator profiles and settings to be transferred across JCB equipment. The system is integrated with JCB LiveLink telematics for remote monitoring.

Service access is designed at ground level, with lift-off mudguards improving maintenance access. The cooling system is mounted high on the chassis and paired with a reversible fan to reduce dust accumulation.
JCB has not disclosed production volumes, customer orders or rollout timing. The machine is being presented as a preview model rather than a full commercial launch.
