The National Construction Authority (NCA) is mandated to register contractors and to keep a list of builders permitted to work in Kenya as part of a strategy to weed out rogue contractors in the country.

Below is the standard NCA accreditation process.

1. Visit the NCA website: www.nca.go.ke. Click on the ‘Construction Workers’ tab and then click on ‘Full Accreditation’.

Registration

2. Click on ‘Register’ and create an account by filling in the required information in every field.

Log into your account with your ID/Passport Number and the Password used during the registration process.

New Application

3. Click on ‘New Application’ tab and then click on ‘Accreditation’. Fill in the information, upload all the required documents (see below) and then click submit.

Payment

4. Once you submit the online accreditation application, an invoice will be sent to your email address. The invoice will indicate the amount to be paid and the permissible modes of payment.

A text message will also be sent to the mobile phone number that was used during the registration.

5. After making your payment, you will then be required to key in the bank slip or the M-Pesa transaction number.

Once this step is completed and verified, the NCA Accreditation Certificate will be generated automatically into your online account.
