Goldhofer has unveiled what it calls ‘master of the highway – the Goldhofer P12 Plus trailer whose specifications allow configuration for any transport task.

The German-based equipment maker is expected to display the Goldhofer P12 Plus at the ConExpo-Con/Agg 2023 in Las Vegas, United States, next month.

According to the company, the new Goldhofer trailer seeks to offer innovative, flexible, and efficient transportation solutions to the modern transporter.

“Due to its modular design, it offers a PLUS of multiple combinations, allowing configuration for any project,” Goldhofer says on its website.

The machine offers “decisive advantages for successful operations with a modern fleet,” and can be operated in a 6, 9 or 12-axle version.

The 12-axle version offers a maximum payload of up to 127 tonnes with an axle load of 12 tonnes. The trailer comes with a wide range of accessories such as loading decks and turntables for transporting long and heavy loads.

“A wide range of jobs with just one vehicle – Goldhofer’s P12 Plus represents our wealth of experience with the successful THP series transferred to the highway transportation market,” says Jerry Rothwell, director of sales, North America.

“Thanks to its variability, heavy haul companies can now ensure punctual delivery of diverse special and everyday loads across state lines with just one vehicle.”

With one or two intermediate bogies, the semi-trailer can combine up to 12 axle lines and offer a long loading deck and a massive payload.

Flexible configurations

Thanks to its high level of adaptability, the Goldhofer P12 trailer offers flexible configurations to handle an extensive range of loads.

“Heavy haul companies will receive a smart, flexible trailer design that combines a semi-trailer, trailer and steerable dolly for long load combinations in one solution,” the company says.

With the Goldhofer P12 Plus trailer, oversized loads, construction machineries, vehicles and equipment can now be shipped much more economically than before.

The company further says the top benefits of the Goldhofer P12 Plus are not only its flexibility to operate as a semi-trailer but also as a drawbar combination and its incredible maneuverability.

“The 12-axle vehicle with forced steering optimizes cornering, maneuverability and capabilities, which make easier operation on narrow roads, maneuvering in confined spaces, or when reversing,” Goldhofer says.
