Doshi Group CEO Nilesh Chandrakant dies

Doshi Group of Companies chief executive Nilesh Chandrakant Doshi has died aged 65, his family has announced.

Nilesh died on Tuesday at the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi, where he was receiving treatment.

“It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance that the MJ Doshi Family informs you of the passing on of our beloved Nilesh Chandrakant Doshi,” the family said in a statement.

Details of the cause of his death were not disclosed but reports indicated that he experienced breathing problems at the time of his death.

On Wednesday, the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) eulogised Nilesh as a talented and passionate leader who contributed extensively to the lobby’s advocacy initiatives through his active participation in the metal sector.

“In this moment of sadness we offer our prayers and deepest sympathy to his friends and family,” KAM said in a statement signed by the Metal and Allied Sector chairman Bobby Johnson.

Nilesh was the CEO of Doshi since 2013. He previously served as managing director of Kubach & Sambrook (Metals) Limited in the UK.

He is survived by his wife Priti and two children – Urvi and Parita.
