Zhejiang Kaishan Compressor has been hired to build a 35MW plant in Menengai.
The 85-hectare plant was built by China Jiangxi International for Sh13.5 billion.
Looop will execute the plan, while the county government will provide the land.
The plant will have a 10MW installed capacity.
The facility, which will constitute 3,300 solar panels, will generate 1,256MWh a year.
